What’s Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing is an idea that what makes up your “personal computer” – your desktop, your apps, and your data, – can live and run on the Internet instead of on your hard drive.

With our “Cloud” operating system, users can turn on their computers to a web browser, and immediately start surfing the web, emailing, and chatting. “Cloud” simplifies the experience of using a computer, by moving everyday computing into the web browser.

Cloud can be installed and used together with other operating systems, or can act as a standalone operating system.

In this decade, high speed internet connections become our need.  Why?  Because all of the content of  the best websites contain multimedia streaming, such as video, audio, voip, radio internet and much more.  They need more bandwidth resources.  We can see video at youtube smoothly without break time.  or If we can upload many photo fast with high speed internet.   The solution is broadband internet.

If we can get high speed internet connection with cheap price, it boost our productivity.  We can work remotely from home.   We can reduce transportation cost, time, and office space, it reduce overal cost.  Others, we need protection from hacker or unauthorized person.   We have to protect our private local area network from hacker, virus, spam, spyware and other malicous code.  We can activate firewall feature in ADSL Modem.  Tips : activate antivirus, antispam and antispyware in each personal pc or notebook.

Port Forwarding in Endian Firewall 2.1.2

7th July 2009 / Author: b3n1_id
By default, firewall will deny unauthorized requests from internet to access the services in the internal LAN. But sometimes we want to access mail server, or our internal web server from the internet, port forwarding is one of them so that people from internet can access mail service and our internal web server. Port Forwarding is a service that will allow limited access to our LAN from outside the base port that we want to open. We have to  map ip address and port.

Following steps should be done based on scenario like this : we will open the smtp service (port 25), pop3 (port 110), webmail (port 80) and the secure website (port 443).

  1. Open the Firewall menu>> Port Forwarding
